GOODWOOD RACECOURSE

Goodwood Racecourse, set in the Sussex Downs, has a great history, not just in horse racing, but also as a venue for entertainment and sport. Goodwood's famous 'Glorious Goodwood' events are held over the 5 day festival in July and mark one of the high-points of the flat-racing calendar and the glamour makes it a key point in the social season.

The flat racing course is right handed with a loop for longer races. The course has a long run-in but is mostly sharp, particularly on the downhill sprint course where a fast start is important.
