HEXHAM RACECOURSE

Hexham Racecourse has been the home of National Hunt racing in Northumberland for well over a century and is now the county's only racecourse. Hexham Racecourse is 20 miles from Newcastle and 35 miles from Carlisle and Hexham rail station is on the line between the two.

Hexham's racing season takes place in Spring, early Summer and Autumn. From March to June there are several weekend and bank holiday fixtures, as well as popular evening meetings.

The National Hunt course is a one-mile four-furlong circuit, left-handed, severe and undulating, requiring a great deal of stamina.
